Like my paintings,
I approach photography from a storyteller’s point of view. It’s an unconscious
choice, really. I tend to find a subject or theme and explore it in many
ways, shooting dozens of photographs from varying angles and in different
lighting situations. Then, not unlike editing a film, I review my images
side by side where the juxtaposition of the photographs can create unexpected
insights.
My hope is that the viewer can find something unique and personal in
the images collectively and individually. |
